Our eye doctors have access to a vast array of optical lens technologies and extensive experience diagnosing and managing diseases of the eye. Diabetic exams, dry eye evaluation, and infection and inflammation management are part of their everyday, comprehensive care. They stay well-informed about the latest advancements in the field and are dedicated to providing their patients with the most effective treatments available, often consulting with patients about options such as Lasik and cataract surgery.
Dr. Robert Craig Farr is a seasoned optometrist with over 28 years of experience, primarily serving the East Valley communities of Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe and Mesa. He is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and earned his professional degree as an optometrist from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1997.
Dr. Farr has extensive experience with fitting many difficult contact-lens types such as scleral lenses for scarred or mis-shaped corneas and RGP contacts for post-refractive surgical patients. Also, with the arid Arizona environment, he manages a lot of dry eye patients, utilizing some of the latest technologies available. He embraces the opportunity to explain complex eye issues clearly and enjoys giving personalized care to each patient.
Beyond his professional work, Dr. Farr enjoys time with his family and staying active cycling and exploring new destinations through travel. His passion for adventure and the outdoors complements his commitment to helping others see the world clearly.
Dr. Brian Farquhar, with over 30 years of experience, has dedicated his career to providing exceptional care to his patients. He began his career in the Chicago area, after completing his training at the Illinois College of Optometry, and then relocated to Arizona 16 years ago. Dr. Farquhar has recently joined the practice on a full-time basis after several years splitting his time with his office in the Biltmore area.
Dr. Farquhar prides himself on ensuring that all of his patients leave the office understanding exactly what is happening with their eyes. He instills confidence by having a clear plan to manage everything from the first pair of glasses for a 5-year-old, to a complex medical eye condition that may require outside referrals to a specialist.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Farquhar enjoys exploring the beauty of Arizona’s wilderness through hiking and mountain biking. He shares his passion for outdoor activities with his wife and their three children.
